2000-2010 / assignment 1: world re/view

"we can no longer assume that nature will be either bountiful or stable or that the earth will remain hospitable to civilization as we know it…it is not too much to say that the decisions about how or whether life will be lived in the next century are being made now." (david orr-1992)

the purpose of this project is review the state of the biophysical world and the role of the designer in it. as part of this review, an expertise will be developed in one area of ecologically sensitive design. This expertise will be expressed in the creation of a 2-d composition of images and text.
