previous / next / takako hirano / spaces. the dreamhouse project. ithaca, ny. march, 2000. this project reconsiders the house not just an order of enabling spaces or supportive machines, but as an expression of ourselves, as a means for dwelling, as a device for dreaming. the first part of the assignment addresses the order of spaces and its issues of function and procession within the dreamhouse. this project used the ordering system of the tatami to order interlocking "east/west" spaces.
